Pinback-atcha!

The best indie pop band in the world just dropped a new single on their myspace.

"From Nothing to Now" from Pinback's upcoming Touch and Go release Autumn of the Seraphs, is now available for your listening pleasure. The track carries on the tradition of the more uptempo tracks from 2004's Summer in Abaddon.

Long-time fans may be offput by the band's apparent stylistic shift. Not to mention certain anomalies with the new album (seriously, what's with the AFI-style cover art? The September 11th release date!?) that suggest that Zach and Rob may have gone a little insane over the past three years of touring and side projects. Still, if anyone deserves the benefit of the doubt, it's Pinback.

Be sure to check them out September 19th at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe with Experimental Metal/Doom/Drone duo Om.

God, I hope that won't be the album's best track.

I don't dislike it, I just want a super solid album.
